Thus:
D
= ? (Distance that will be calculated, taken from the marker disc to the center
of the first row).
E = Row Crop Spacing (Example: 90-cm).
N = Number of Rows (Example: 4).
B = Tractor Wheel Tread (Example: 142 cm).
Adjust the marker disc with 154-cm until the first row center.
2º)
Practical Adjustment:
Move some meters with the seeder working.
Measure the distance between the center of the tractor track and the center of
the first seed row (outward row).
The founded measure is added to the measure of the seeder row spacing.
The result is the distance that should exist between the disc of the row marker and
the center of the first seed row (outward row).
Example:
Center of the tractor track to the center of the first seed row = 90 cm.
Crop Spacing = 45 cm.
Thus; 90 + 45 cm = 135 cm.
This is the distance between the center of the first seed row and the marker disc
touching the soil.
Row Marker Adjustment
The use of the row markers is very important, because it is through them that a
seeding will be gotten with uniform spacing. Later on, it will facilitate the cultivation and
harvest.
For adjusting the marker discs it is enough to loosen the bolts (A), that hold the
square shafts, and move the set until the desired distance.
This distance should be obtained by the following way:
1º)
Using the following formula:
Note.: FOR THIS PRACTICAL ADJUSTMENT IT IS NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN THE SAME
TRACTOR WHEEL TREAD IN BOTH FRONT AND REAR WHEELS; THAT IS, THE CENTER
TO CENTER OF THE FRONT TIRES WITH THE SAME MEASURE OF THE REAR TIRES.
