Overheating
CAUTION
Do not run the engine while overheating. Running an engine
that is overheating will cause severe damage. Have the
overheating condition repaired before driving the vehicle.
A cooling system problem may cause the engine to overheat. The
following is a list of issues that could potentially cause the engine
cooling system to overheat:
Insufficient or incorrect engine coolant.
Excessive air in cooling system
Auxiliary coolant reservoir cap not sealing properly.
Excess debris/scale accumulation in the engine and
radiator coolant passages.
Leaking radiator or cooling system component.
Defective thermostat.
Electric auxiliary cooling fan malfunctioning (verify
fuse is not blown).
Air-conditioning electric condenser fan malfunctioning
(verify fuse is not blown).
Air-conditioning system overcharged.
Engine oil level low.
Brakes binding or parking brake engaged.
