VOICE MESSAGING SYSTEM
(VMS) : (If Equipped)
A state -of -the- art Voice Messaging
System (VMS), is provided to monitor
and announce various warning and
failsafe condition in your vehicle. This
is in addition to the warnings on the
instrument cluster. Two language op-
tions namely English and Hindi is avail-
able.
In addition to the welcome note, it
monitors 14 failsafe conditions in the
vehicle.
VMS reset Switch function
VMS ON/OFF
VMS can be switched ‘OFF’ when you
press and Hold MSG RES switch for
more than 2 sec (allowed up to 6 sec)
when ignition ‘ON’. MSG RES ON
State LED automatically turns ‘OFF’
to indicate VMS is switched ‘OFF’.
VMS can be switched ‘ON’ again when
you press and Hold MSG RES switch
for more than 2 sec (allowed up to 6
sec) when ignition ‘ON’. MSG RES
ON State LED automatically turns
‘ON’ to indicate VMS is switched ‘ON’.
Message Acknowledgement:
Messages can be acknowledged by
pressing & holding MSG RES switch
for more than 0.25 sec. This particular
message would not be played again
in the ignition cycle. The message will
be activated during next ignition cycle.
VMS Language/ Speech option:
Two language options namely English
and Hindi is available. Default set
language is English.
Hindi language option can be activated
by pressing and holding MSG RES
switch for greater than 8 sec (allowed
up to 20 sec) when ignition is ‘ON’.
MSG RES ON State LED will automati-
cally start blinking to indicate language
changed, you can leave the switch at
this point of time and then additionally
“Namaste” message is played indicat-
ing that Hindi language activated.
Similarly English language change
option can also be activated and you
would hear “Hello” message indicating
that English language is activated.
VMS battery reset:
VMS resets when battery positive /
negative or VMS battery fuse are
disconnected for greater than 2 sec.
In this condition VMS rests to default
setting.
VMS is by default in ‘ON’ condition
when ignition is ‘ON’, MSG RES ON
state, LED is ‘ON’.
