INTRODUCCIÓN

Gracias por seleccionar un monitor de grasa corporal/báscula de Tanita.
Este modelo utiliza la técnica AIB (análisis de impedancia bioeléctrica), una
tecnología de vanguardia para el cálculo de la grasa corporal.

Precauciones de seguridad

Las personas que lleven implantado algún equipo médico
electrónico, tal como un marcapasos, no deberían utilizar el
programa de control de la grasa corporal de esta
Báscula/Monitor de Grasa Corporal Tanita. Este monitor de
grasa corporal/báscula envía una señal eléctrica de poca
intensidad por el cuerpo, que podría interferir con el
funcionamiento de un marcapasos.

• El monitor de grasa corporal/báscula de Tanita está diseñado para uso

exclusivo en el hogar. Esta unidad no está pensada para uso profesional
en hospitales u otros centros médicos, no está equipado con los
estándares de calidad requeridos para el uso continuo que se
experimenta en condiciones profesionales.

• No utilizar esta unidad en superficies resbaladizas, como suelos

mojados.  

Notas importantes para los usuarios

BF-662

está diseñado para el uso por parte de adultos y niños (7–17 años de

edad) con un estilo de vida de inactivo a moderadamente activo y adultos con
cuerpos atléticos.

Tanita define “atleta” como una persona que realiza una actividad
física intensa aproximadamente 10 horas a la semana y que tiene un
ritmo cardiaco en reposo de aproximadamente 60 pulsaciones por
minuto o menos. La definición de Tanita de un atleta incluye individuos
“en forma de por vida”, que se han mantenido en forma durante años
pero que actualmente hacen ejercicio menos de 10 horas a la semana.

La función de monitor de grasa corporal no está diseñada para
embarazadas, atletas profesionales o culturistas.

Se pueden perder los datos almacenados si la unidad se utiliza
incorrectamente o se expone a sobretensiones de energía eléctrica. Tanita
no se responsabiliza de ningún tipo de pérdida debido a la pérdida de los
datos almacenados.

Tanita no se responsabiliza de ningún tipo de daño o pérdida ocasionados
por estas unidades, o de ningún tipo de reclamación efectuada por terceras
personas.

Nota:

Los cálculos del porcentaje de grasa

corporal variarán según la cantidad de agua en el
cuerpo, y se pueden ver afectados por
deshidratación o hiperhidratación, debido a
factores tales como consumo de alcohol,
menstruación, enfermedad, realización intensa de
ejercicios, etc.

REPLACING THE BATTERIES

TROUBLESHOOTING

Select Weight-Only Key

Using your toe, tap the Weight-only key.  After 2 or 3 seconds, “0.0” will
appear in the display and the unit will beep.  When “0.0” appears in the
display, step onto the platform.  The body weight value will appear. If you
remain on the platform, the display will flash for about 30 seconds, and then the power
will automatically turn off.  If you step off the platform, the weight will continue to show for
about 5 seconds, then “0.0” will appear and the unit will shut off automatically.

When the batteries run low, the “Lo” message will appear on the display
window.  When this message appears, be sure to replace the batteries
immediately, since weak batteries will affect the accuracy of your
measurements.  Change all the batteries at the same time with new AA-size
batteries.  

Note:

Your settings will not be erased from the memory when you remove the batteries.

If the following problems occur… then…

A wrong weight reading appears on the display.

Refer to “Switching the Weight Mode” on p.4.

“Lo”

appears on the display, or all the data appears and immediately disappears.

Batteries are low.  Replace batteries immediately.

The display shows 

“- - - - -”

and goes off when a Personal Key is pressed.

No data (Male/Female, Age, Height, Athlete/Standard Adult) has been stored in the memory for that key.  Pre-programme
with personal data (p.5).

The display reads 

“Error”

or 

“- - - - -”

appears or the power shuts off while

measuring.

Be sure that you have selected the correct user mode (Male/Female, Age, Height, Athlete/Standard Adult).  Make sure
socks or stockings are removed, and the soles of your feet are clean and properly aligned with the guides on the
measuring platform.  Consider whether or not you have selected the correct Personal Key and make sure that you wait for
“0.0” to appear before stepping on the platform.  Step off and repeat steps on p.6.

“OL”

appears while measuring.

Reading cannot be obtained if the weight capacity (21st 6lb/136kg/300lb) is exceeded.

Note:

If body fat percentage is more than 75%, readings cannot be obtained from the unit.

The body fat percentage measurement does not appear after the weight is
measured.

Vibration will interfere with measurement of the fat percentage.  Be sure to stand and still on the measuring platform.  Do
not bend your knees.  Be sure that shoes and socks are removed and check foot alignment.  Step off and repeat steps on
p.6.
