Cover Assembly, Shuttle

Removal

Prepare the printer for maintenance (page 154).

Remove the ribbon cartridge. (Refer to the

User’s Manual

Loosen the shuttle cover screws (page 256, item 2).

Unplug the weld sensor cable (page 304).

Grasping the edges of the shuttle cover assembly, tilt the rear edge up
and lift the shuttle cover assembly out of the printer.

Installation

Place the shuttle cover assembly in the printer. Tilt the forward edge of
the cover down slightly and work the cover into position.

NOTE:

Make sure the two posts on the shuttle cover seat into the circular
recesses in the base casting.

Plug the weld sensor cable (page 304).

Tighten the shuttle cover screws (page 256, item 2).

Install the ribbon cartridge. (Refer to the

User’s Manual

Return the printer to normal operation (page 155).
