Wiring diagram 1: Video monitor connection, wiring between surround receiver
and VSP 1250 R
Note:
If the VSP 1250 R is to work properly in combination with a
B surround receiver (SR 1535 R) or decoder
(DD 1535 R), and support the extensive automatic system functions, the equipment must be fitted with a certain
minimum version of the software!
The required minimum software version is stated in the chapter entitled 'Specification' at the end of these operating
instructions. You will find the Version number of any
B
receiver or decoder printed on the Control Certificate in the
operating instructions supplied with the machine. If the software version is not as specified, please ask your B dealer
how it can be updated.
*1 A Composite connection (standard video) is only necessary if standard video sources are connected to the receiver
or decoder, and their signals are to be passed on to the video monitor via the
VSP 1250 R .
*2 The S-Video cable is always required with B SR 1535 R receivers and DD 1535 R decoders, since the screen
menus of these devices are transferred via the S-Video lead.
*3 A Component (YUV-video) connection is only necessary if YUV video sources are connected to the receiver or
decoder, and their signals are to be passed to the video monitor via the
VSP 1250 R .
*4 A digital audio cable is required between one of the digital sound outputs of the VSP 1250 R and one of the
receiver’s digital sound inputs for each HDMI source which does not feature a digital audio output, i.e. which only
transfers sound via the HDMI connection.
*5 The VSP 1250 R can generate digital video signals simultaneously via its HDMI and DVI monitor interfaces. This
means that you can connect a maximum of two monitors to the VSP 1250 R (main room + adjacent room, or
pro flat panel).

Please note , however, that the output format (resolution, aspect ratio etc.) generated at both outputs is
identical. It is therefore necessary to use two monitors which both understand the same input signals and
formats (e.g. two 16 : 9 monitors with 720p resolution).
