Opening and closing the flap
(
PA 1530
only)
The flap is fitted with a snap closure.
To open the flap press lightly at the marked point; the flap will
then
spring open.
Never pull the flap – the snap closure will be damaged!
To close the flap raise it and press it lightly against the
machine until
the snap closure engages.
(On / Off switch)
Pressing the
button briefly switches the device
on and off. When the unit is switched on the green indi-
cator above the button glows.
Note:
When you switch on, the
/
resp
/
LEDs flash for a few seconds (power-on delay).
The unit is ready for use as soon as the delay time is
elapsed.
Caution!
The mains button is not a mains isolation switch.
Even when the green LED is not glowing parts of the
machine remain connected to the mains power
supply. If the unit is not to be used for a long period
we recommend that you isolate it from the mains by
pulling out the mains plug at the wall socket.
Delayed power-off (sleep timer)
The amplifier features a delayed power-off function
(sleep mode). This function switches the unit off, to-
gether with all the
R
LINK
devices connected to it,
after a variable delay. The delay period can be set to a
value between 10 and 60 minutes.
Activating the power-off delay:
Switch on the amplifier and the source device you wish
to use. Hold the
button on the amplifier pressed
in for about 3 seconds until 6 of the listening source
LEDs light up. In this mode the LEDs indicate the power-
off delay period in 10-minute increments (6 x 10 min =
60 min). The time can be reduced in 10-minute steps by
repeatedly pressing the
button. The LEDs
always indicate the delay you have currently set.
The delay period is activated when the machine detects
that you have not pressed the
button for a period
of about 4 seconds. The
LED flashes slowly to
indicate that the power-off delay is running.
Note:
It can be switched off at any time by pressing the
button briefly.
Note:
The amplifier can also be switched on using the source
buttons. If the source device you wish to use is connec-
ted to the amplifier via an
R
LINK
cable, selecting that
source switches on the amplifier automatically.
PHONES
(headphones socket)
Socket for stereo headphones with an impedance of at
least 50
Ω
. The amplifier features a separate high-quality
headphone amplifier, independent of the loudspeaker
output stages.
