K8 Multi Source System
Controls
All the important functions of the
K8 can be operated using the buttons on the front panel. Direct operating buttons are
available for the basic functions, such as source / track selection, whereas rarely needed functions are controlled using
menus, which are called up using the
 /  /  buttons.
All information regarding the state of the machine, the current track and the selected station are displayed on the screen;
the main items are displayed in highlighted form in a context-sensitive manner, and are clearly legible from some
distance. The following section describes in detail the function of the front panel buttons and the information displayed on
the screen.
On / Off switch
    

A brief press on the

button switches the machine on and off.

 

Caution!
The mains button is not a mains isolation switch. Even when the screen
and the ON LED are switched off, parts of the machine are connected to
mains voltage.
If you know the machine will not be used for a protracted period, disconnect it
from the mains supply by withdrawing the mains plug from the socket.

‘Notes on Energy Saving’ .


Status LED
The LED above the  button indicates the operational state of the K8 .
LED State
off ECO standby
The machine is switched off; minimal current drain
red Comfort standby
The machine is switched off; expanded stand-by function with
slightly higher current drain
blue Machine switched on - the K8 is fully ready for use.
       ECO standby is the K8’s basic, default setting. If you wish to use
the expanded functions of Comfort stand-by, you must switch that
function on in the ‘System settings / Standby mode’ menu.

range of functions and the stand-by current drain please refer to
the Chapters “System settings / Standby mode” and “Economical
use of energy”, and the Specification in the Appendix.
