4.4.4 Backup Options
The

button is once again used to enter the next level of the menu system, which allows the
user to modify the parameters associated with the automatic ISDN Backup operation.
NOTE: The Backup Level and Restore Time are global settings, and not per Patch memory.

Backup Monitor
MENU : Backup Monitor
Level = 050
Errors = 000
(Factory Defaults – Errors = 000 if X.21 Line Connected)
This menu displays the number of Sync Loss Errors in the last 10 seconds, (sampled at 100ms
intervals), and the Level at which the automatic ISDN Backup is initiated. The Backup Level
can be set to different values on the Master and Slave units, in order to bias the sensitivity of
the link in either direction.
The

button can be used to edit the Backup Level , the display changes as follows:

Restore Monitor

This menu displays the number of Data Block Errors in the last 10 seconds, (sampled at 100ms
intervals), when the ISDN Backup has successfully been established. The menu also displays
the Restore Time in seconds of error free data throughput, after which the automatic X.21
Restore is initiated. The Restore Time setting and the Errors display are only relevant when the
codec is operating in the Backup Master mode.
