1.0 APPLICATION
In case of a fire, smoke extract fans are used to exhaust hot air and smoke from buildings.
They can also be used for normal daily ventilation under normal operating temperatures. By
keeping rooms and escape ways free of smoke, rescuing people and protecting the
installations and material in a room is facilitated. Fire fighting can be done quickly and
effectively. The building and installations are protected against excessive temperatures, fire
spreading is prevented.
•
To extract smoke up to
600°C resp. up to 400°C for min. 120 minutes;
•
6 different sizes from 400 up to 1000
•
Two different models for different installations are available:
WVI – installation inside the fire zone, WVA – installation outside the fire zone
Fans of type WVI / WVA may never be installed in explosion hazardous areas
•
Should the motor be executed in two speeds, normally the low speed is used for daily
ventilation (medium temperature –20 up to +40°C, if aggressive media are to be
exhausted, a protection against acids has to be installed), the high speed in case of a fire.
Unintended use can be dangerous for human beings and equipment!
This risk is completely in the hands of the operator.
