Section defrosting

The need for section defrosting is depending on the humidity in the extract air and the outdoor air temperature. The
general function is to defrost one section at the time with the warm extract air.

If more heating is required the integrated control module regulate the by-pass damper and the exchanger dampers to-
wards increased energy recovery.

When differential pressure increases over set value a defrosting cycle is activated. A signal from the control module ini-
tiate the dampers to close in sequence. If the exhaust temperature drops below set value the control module will regu-
late the by-pass damper and exchanger dampers towards decreased energy recovery.

When differential pressure decrease below set value, the defrosting cycle will be deactivated. If differential pressure in-
crease over max value when defrosting is active, fan stop defrosting will start. After stop defrosting the unit will re-
start. If the pressure does not decrease, the air handling unit is stopped and an alarm is shown in the display. Make sure
that the ice is melted before restarting the unit.

Log in with service mode using password 0612.

Temperature in the exhaust air can be adjusted. Use the navigation path “Data & Settings > Temperature control > Ex-
changer > Defrosting 3”.
