6. Service / Service interruption
As the water softener works automatically, you will have to
refill salt from time to time only, but at the latest when the
display signals that the salt level is low. The SYR Connect
control indicates the number of weeks left until the salt
stock has to be refilled.
The salt stock should not be reduced to the extent that the
liquid level is above the salt, as otherwise it will rise exces-
sively when refilling salt. The SYR Connect control will signal
a malfunction.
When using SYR Connect via Internet with SYR‘s App or the
web interface of a PC, the SYR Connect control will indicate
in due time that the salt level is too low.
When no softened water or just a little quantity of softe-
ned water is drawn off, the water softener will automatically
carry out a forced regeneration after 4 days at the latest to
ensure perfect hygiene (in compliance with EN 14743 and DIN
19636-100 (DVGW-test guideline).
When restarting the water softener after a service
interruption, the start-up process has to be carried out again
(cf. the relevant instructions for installation and start-up).
Should the main water supply of the water softener be
interrupted (main shut-off valve closed or on „bypass“), the
power supply of the device has to be interrupted as well.
