The vertebral body screws for anterior approach (

6.2 and

8.0 mm) have large thread flanks to increase the pull-out
strength in the vertebral body.

Flat and angled washers can be used in an anterior position
to strengthen screws in an end vertebra. They distribute the
force of the screw over the bone.

The angled washer forms a fixed angle with the screw and
counteracts pull-out of the screw.
