The following table describes the general functions of the keys. Table 4-3 contains the
specific keyboard mappings.
Table 4-2. Key Descriptions
Key Description
Shift, Ctrl, Alt Use in conjunction with other keys. Select alternate characters or
functions using the information at the top of the keys.
Use Ctrl - Esc key combination to access the Start menu.
A through Z Enters alpha and text characters.
0 through 9 Enters numeric characters.
Moves the cursor around the screen or highlights the lines in a menu.
F1 through F24 Programmable function keys. The application determines the use; see
the software or application documentation.
Enter Moves the cursor to the next data field or screen.
Func Activates the function shown above the next key pressed.
Del Deletes the character to the right of the cursor.
!
or Backspace Deletes the character to the left of the cursor.
Space Enters a space between characters or words.
