Power and Ethernet Connections
Note:
Use only a Symbol-approved power supply 50-14000-
109, output rated 8VDC and minimum 5A. The power
supply is certified to EN60950 with SELV outputs.
To connect power and ethernet to the cradle:
1. Connect the power supply cable plug to the Power Port
(labeled DC PWR) on the back of the cradle, (see Rear View,
Parts on page 4).
2. Connect one end of a standard 10 Base-T network cable to
the connector labelled Host on the back of the CRD2700-
4200E (see Rear View, Parts on page 4). Connect the other
end of the cable to the subnet hub/switch.
3. Connect the Power Supply AC plug to a standard electrical
outlet.
Note:
International customers must use a separate AC line
cord appropriate for their respective country.
4. The LED on each slot blinks red then green while the cradle
powers up. All LEDs flash green while the cradle attempts to
obtain its IP address from the DHCP server. If the cradle is
successful, the LEDs turn off. If the cradle is unable to obtain
its IP address, the LEDs flash red, and the cradle retries in
10 minutes. See LED Indicators on page 8 for other
indications.
