Intended use
The product is intended to wirelessly switch on and off up to two power consumers (e.g. two
lamps) separately from each other via Wi-Fi.
In addition, loads can be controlled by connecting two conventional buttons or toggle switches
to the product.
The product is intended for permanent installation in a flush or wall mounted contact box.
Operation or programming is carried out via the “
Smart Life – Smart Living
” app. A free
account is necessary to use this app. It must be created during initial setup of the app.
The product may only be connected to the mains voltage (see the “Specifications” section).
This product is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, for
example in bathrooms, must be avoided.
For safety and approval purposes, do not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the product
for purposes other than those described above may damage the product. In addition, improper
use can cause hazards such , as a short circuit, fire or electric shock. Read the operating
instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. Only make this product available to third
parties together with its operating instructions.

*) Technical knowledge required to perform the installation:
For the installation, the following specialist knowledge is required in particular:
• The “Five safety rules”: Disconnect from the mains; protect against accidental
switch-on; ensure there is no voltage; earth and short-circuit; cover or protect
neighbouring live parts.
• Use suitable tools, measuring devices and personal protective equipment, where
necessary.
• Analyse measurement results.
• Use electrical installation materials to ensure the turn-off criteria.

• Install electrical installation materials
• Type of power supply (TN system, IT system, TT system) and the corresponding
connection criteria (classic earthing, protective earthing, necessary additional
measures etc.)
If you are not a professional, do not do it yourself, have it performed by a
specialist.
a) General information
• This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets. There is a
danger of life-threatening electric shock!
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a
dangerous toy for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high
humidity, moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height may
damage the product.
• Always observe the safety information and operating instructions of any other
devices which are connected to the product.
• If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, the device
must be turned off and precautions must be taken to ensure that it is not used
unintentionally. Do not touch the relay switch or any device connected to it.
Disconnect the product from the mains voltage by switching off the respective
circuit breaker or by unscrewing the fuse. Furthermore, turn off the earth leakage
circuit breaker to disconnect all the poles of the mains supply.
After this, arrange for an expert to check the product.
• Always comply with the accident prevention regulations for electrical equipment
when using the product in industrial facilities!
• Consult a technician if you are not sure how to use or connect the product, or if
you have concerns about safety.

Maintenance, modifications and repairs must be carried out by a technician or a
specialist repair centre.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions,
contact our technical support service or other technical personnel.
b) How to connect
• Product installation must be carried out in a deenergised state. Turn off the mains
supply by switching off the respective circuit breaker or by unscrewing the fuse.
Protect it against an unauthorised switch-on, e.g. with a danger sign.
Furthermore, turn off the earth leakage circuit breaker to disconnect all the poles
from the mains voltage.
• Check the mains connection for absence of voltage using a suitable tester.

The product must only be used when it is mounted in a fixed location. Install the
product, for example, in a suitable flush or wall mounted contact box.
• Ensure that the insulation of the casing is neither damaged nor destroyed.
• Never touch the product with wet or damp hands! There is a risk of fatal electric
shock!
• Never overload the product. Observe the information on the maximum load in the
“Specifications” section.
