Copying the central phonebook to the local phonebook
If the local phonebook on your handset is empty, a message to this effect is displayed.
You can in this case copy the central phonebook of the base into the local phonebook of
the handset.
1. Press the softkey under NAMES ,
PHONEBOOK EMPTY
appears.
2. Select
COPY FROM CENTRAL
, confirm with OK .
Note
• The copy procedure is aborted if an incoming call is received.
• If you are copying the entire phonebook, all entries transferred before the call are
saved.
Central phonebook
The central phonebook stored in the base can be accessed by every registered handset.
The number of entries available depends on your base (see the corresponding user man-
ual).
Press key to open the central phonebook.
You can now:
- add new entries in the central phonebook
- edit existing entries
- show details
- delete entries / the entire central phonebook
- copy entries / the entire central phonebook into the local phonebook
- Merge duplicates: If you have entries with identical first and last name in the central
phonebook (for example when copying entries from the local phonebook), you can
use this option to delete or merge repeated/duplicate entries.
