5.6. Calibration
If you use a UP-Con1000 sensor it is not necessary to calibrate the
instrument. A zero measurement is automatically performed every
day at 00:30 AM.
A calibration is necessary if the cell constant of a sensor is not
known. To perform a calibration proceed as follows:

Stop the sample flow.

Navigate to menu Maintenance /Calibration.

Press [Enter] and follow the dialog on the display.

Remove the sensor from the flow cell.

Clean the sensor carefully and rinse it with clean water, see
Maintenance of the Sensor, p. 30

Use a one liter beaker and fill it with one liter of calibration solu

tion.

Put the sensor into the beaker filled with calibration solution.

Wait at least 5 minutes to permit
temperature equilibration between
sensor and calibration solution.

Start the calibration procedure.

Press [Enter], to save the values if
the calibration was successful.

Install the sensor into the flow cell.
