Display and key functions
General information
The following status information is displayed in the header:
•
Battery voltage by battery symbol
•
Current page represented by three squares (only with extended function view)
•
Current used address and sent data (only during a transmission)
•
Current path in the settings menu (only in the menu)
For certain transmitted data, the addition T1, …, T8 is displayed. For SVS products, this suffix is often
used as the name of the bit combination.
(T1 = 0001; T2 = 0010; T3 = 0100; T4 = 1000; T5 = 1010; T6 = 0110; T7 = 1110; T8 = 0011).
To switch to standby mode, press the key
for several seconds.
To exit standby mode, press any key (except the key
).
Function view:
With its 6 function fields, the function view represents the 6 function keys (index 1-6). Each function field
(and thus also each function key) is assigned to a definition. The definition determines which characters
are displayed in the field. In addition, the definition determines which send data with which address are
used when the function key is pressed.
If the standard function view is activated, the four arrow keys can be used as additional 4 function keys.
The arrow keys are also assigned to definitions, but they are not displayed with a function field.
If the extended function view is activated, the keys arrow left and arrow right are used to navigate
between the function pages. Depending on the currently displayed page, the function fields (and thus also
the function keys) are assigned to different definitions. Accordingly, when a function key is pressed, the
values of the currently assigned definition are used.
Pressing a function key triggers a transmission command in this view and starts the transmission.
If the standard acknowledgement view is activated, the corresponding function field is displayed inverted
while a function key is pressed. The transmission data used and the address used from the assigned
definition are displayed in the header during transmission.
If the extended acknowledgement view is activated, the transmission is switched to the acknowledgement
view as long as it is running. This view displays detailed information about the current communication.
The upper half gives information about outgoing transmissions. The set characters are displayed on the
left in accordance with the assigned definition. Next to this are the address used, the data sent, the
number of transmission attempts per message and the current acknowledgement setting.
The lower half provides information for acknowledgement. The confirmed receiver output states, the
determined transmission power and the confirmed receiver supply voltage (depending on receiver circuit)
are displayed. Below this, the confirmed output states of the receiver are displayed again visually with
large rectangles.
In the case of successful communication, some receivers of the SH-12 series use the signalling
of a weak receiver supply as standard.
The
key can generally be used to cancel a running transmission in the function view. If addressing or
key lock is active, the
key can also be used to switch to the corresponding higher-level view.
To open the menu, press the
key for a few seconds.
Menu view:
In the menu, the individual menu items are listed in 1, 3 or 5 columns. Navigation is via the four arrow
keys. Large menus can extend over several pages, which can also be reached with the arrow keys. In
these cases, a scroll bar appears at the right edge.
The currently selected menu item is inverted and displayed with a triangle. If it is a menu in which a
setting can be made, the current setting is displayed inverted with a square. In this case, the
key can
be used to accept the current selection and then switch to the higher-level menu. The
key can be used
to switch to the higher-level menu without accepting the selection.
If it is not a menu in which a setting can be made, the
key can be used to open the currently selected
submenu and the
key can be used to switch back to the higher-level menu.
