Chapter 8: Up Converter

This chapter provides all the information needed about the HDT-70

transmitter up-converter.

The up-converter provides 3Watt power in 2GHz band and 0,5Watt power in
7GHz and 10GHz bands.

8.1

Front Panel

The figure below shows the front panel of the up-converter.



The up-converter is a multi-frequency equipment. The reception frequency

can be configured manually using the channel selector in the down-
converter (one among 15 previously programmed frequencies) or remotely

from the rack demodulator equipment.

Frequency configuration can be done from the demodulator rack unit or

from the up-converter channel selector. To configure the frequency
manually, using the channel selector in the up-converter, the operator

should look at the channel list at one side of the up-converter and move the

channel selector to the desired channel. In this case, the frequency cannot
be modified from the rack control unit.
