Chapter 4: GPS
4.1 Introduction
The HDT-02 transmitter has a GPS antenna input in order to give
information to the device about the positioning data.
Once the information is kept inside the device, it can be sent to the
receiver. If the signal arrives correctly to the receiver system, then the
HDR-106 or any other receiver will be able to send GPS data to the HDE-70
throughout the ASI output and, then, the decoder will have all the GPS data
available and this decoder device will be able to calculate the direction,
distance, positioning... of the transmitter.
All of this information is shown in the GPS menu screen available in the
HDE-70 decoder.
The HDE-70 decoder also includes another feature that consists on an
output RS232 connection which allows watching throughout the Google
Maps application the position of the transmitter in real time.
4.2 Main Screen
Next it is explained the value of the data field which appears in the main
screen of the HDE-70 decoder.

Data status field indicates with a darkened D that there is no data received.
If the ‘G’ does not vary, then it is connected to the satellites.
