Communication failure between VR-70 demodulator and UCM up-
converter
. When the VR-70 demodulator detects a communication
failure with the UCM up-converter, the LED next to ALARM button lights
red. If the up-converter is disabled the VT-70 does not show any alarm.

UCM up-converter transmission power: when the transmission power is
equal to or lower than 50% of the maximum transmission power, the
equipment shows an alarm, the LED next to ALARM button lights red.
When the power reaches 55% of the maximum transmission power the
alarm is cancelled.
Maximum transmission power depends on the up-converter used.

Up-converter temperature : if the temperature inside the up-converter
reaches or exceeds 75ºC, an alarm is triggered and the red LED next to
the ALARM button lights. When the temperature drops to 70ºC, the
alarm is cancelled

Low power supply to the up-converter.
ƒ
Lock status of the up-converter: if the PLL of the up-converter is not
locked in frequency, the equipment shows an alarm and the LED next to
alarm button lights.
Parameters that can cause warnings

VR-70 modulator using battery power (Rack Battery Working): if the
equipment is only receiving battery power, it displays a warning, and
the LED next to the Alarm button lights in orange
ƒ
Received signal level. If the received signal level in the RF input is lower
than -70dBm, the TR-70 displays a warning and the LED next to the
Alarm button lights in orange.
