CHASSIS 5-17

• Install the piston/cup set.

• When installing the brake light switch, align the projection on

the switch with the hole in the master cylinder.

• When remounting the master cylinder on the handlebars,

align the master cylinder holder’s mating surface with the
punched mark

on the handlebars, and then tighten the

upper clamp bolt first.

Master cylinder bolt: 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m)

• Install the brake hose union as shown and tighten the union

bolt to the specified torque.

Brake union bolt: 23 N·m (2.3 kgf-m)

• Fill the master cylinder with brake fluid and bleed air.
