1D-18 Power Unit Mechanical: 

• Lower the power unit onto engine holder.

NOTE
Rotate crankshaft to aid alignment of 
driveshaft and crank shaft splines.

 

• Apply suzuki silicone seal to power unit mounting 

bolts and tighten bolts to specified torque.

:  Sealant 99000–31120 (SUZUKI Silicone 

Seal (50 g)) 

Tightening torque
Power unit mounting bolt (8 mm) (a):  23 N·m (2.3 
kgf-m, 16.5 lbf-ft)
Power unit mounting bolt (10 mm) (b):  50 N·m (
5.0 kgf-m, 36.0 lbf-ft)

Thermostat

• Assemble thermostat (1) and thermostat cover (2) to 

cylinder block and secure with bolts.
Refer to “Thermostat Removal and Installation” in 
Section 1F (Page 1F-3).

Upper oil seal housing

• Apply engine oil to upper oil seal lip.
