PRIOR TO FITTING

1.

  Check that all the parts shown are included in the Kit.

2.

  Check the condition of each individual part.

3.

  Park the vehicle in a stable manner.

4.

  Take the key out of the ignition, allow the engine/exhaust to cool prior to installation.

5.

  Protect all parts removed from the vehicle.

6.

  Be careful not to damage any vehicle parts during fitting.

SUZUKI GENUINE ACCESSORIES

CAUTION

The condition to assemble parts is technical experience.

If you not sure if you do a special work step, you should ask your next SUZUKI dealer.

NOTE:

The vehicle’s original wiring is designed to connect directly up to the alarm system.

The two connectors (single-pole connector and four-pole connector closed with matching part)

are located on the left side midway along the vehicle, underneath the battery support.

Fitting Instructions

Photo 1: 

Connect the connector on the alarm’s harness up to the control unit, insert the rubber hood into its

housing 

(1)

 and secure it using a cable grip 

(2).

Remove the main saddle

 and the two side fairings

, pull out the two plastics clips, located on

both sides of rear fairing 

(C).

Unscrew the fours screws

 and remove the passengers handle 

(E), 

remove the metallic wire of the

mechanical unblock seat and tools bag 

(F). 

Before removing the rear fairing, disconnect the connector of the

rear tail lamp.

Turn the rear fairing upside down and clean the space for the alarm unit

, and the unit it self with a

suitable cleaner.

Photo 5: 

Put the silicon glue on the bottom of the alarm unit, and stick the unit on the specific space 

(H).

The alarm unit must be near to the rear tail lamp, about 5 mm.

CAUTION:

The silicon glue need about 24 hours to have a completely catalyze

Enabling the alarm system

The alarm must be initiated to make it operational. To do this, turn the ignition key OFF-ON-OFF.
The alarm system’s LED (Photograph 8) will now flash, indicating how many remote controls have been paired
up to the system by flashing the appropriate number of times (two are supplied as standard).
The system is now operational. Please refer to the user manual, supplied with the Alarm Kit item code
990D0 – ALARM – 000 for further details and specifications.

HOW TO ENABLE THE ALARM SYSTEM

The two connector dedicated for the alarm system are located on the back up of the plate 

(I),

 there

are also available the two connectors for the indicator lights 

(L).

After 24 hours replace the rear fairing

Connect the alarms connector, the indicator light connectors and the rear tail lamp connector 

(M)

, fix the alarm

wiring loom with cable tie 

(N),

 and run the Led cable on the front of vehicle 

(O).

Lock the wire for the mechanical unblock seat 

(P),

Connect the two-way connector of the LED with the alarm wiring loom 

(R).

Replace the plastic parts you removed earlier from both sides of the motorcycle.
