TYPES OF PRESSURE MEASUREMENTS

ABSOLUTE (

PSIA

)

Pressure is measured with respect to an absolute vacuum.

DIFFERENTIAL (

PSID

)

Pressure is measured with respect to a second pressure port.

GAUGE (

PSIG

)

Pressure is measured with respect to atmospheric pressure. Same

as a differential pressure sensor with the second port open to the

atmosphere.
