In the above example "H+R+" indicates that STAGE is experiencing a high limit and high rate of
change alarm, while the “OK” status for RAIN indicates that it is within expected limits.
Quality codes:
G: Good quality
B: Bad quality
U: Undefined quality
Alarm codes:
H: High limit exceeded
L: Low limit exceeded
R: High Rate of change
OK: Normal
A “+” after a code indicates that the sensor has just entered that state, while a “-“ after a
code indicates that the sensor has just exited that state.
BUFR
“BUFR” format is a binary message, conforming to WMO BUFR requirements for data
transmissions and storage.
When BUFR is the selected format, the telemetry block used to “tag” the data for transmission
has the following properties:
Name
The Name field describes the data to be transmitted. The Name corresponds to the Name (or
sometimes called, “Description”), found in the WMO BUFR Table B. The read-only text pane to
the right, updates as Name is changed, to show the following details from Table B:
