Note 2

: Due to OS limitations, some operating systems may not show

more than 4 GB of memory.

Note 3

: Due to memory allocation to system devices, the memory avail-

able for operational use will be reduced when 4 GB of RAM is used. The
reduction in memory availability is disproportional. Refer to the table on
the following page.

Population Recommendation

Optimal Performance

: Populate ALL DIMM slots (Bank1 + Bank2).

High Performance

: Populate DIMM1A ~ DIMM3A slots (Bank1).

Performance

: Install one DIMM in slot DIMM1A (the first slot in Bank1), OR one

DIMM each in slot DIMM1A and DIMM2A (the first two slots of Bank1).

Populating DIMM modules with pairs of memory modules of the same size
and same type will activate Memory Interleaving which will result in increased
memory performance.

Note 1

: The motherboard will NOT boot if DIMM module(s) are installed

in any of the Bank2 slots but none in the Bank1 slots. The first DIMM
module must be installed in DIMM1A, and all Bank1 slots must be filled

before populating any Bank2 slot(s).
