Type
The feature allows you to select the type of IDE hard drive. The option-
User will allow the user to enter the parameters of the HDD installed at
this connection. The option-Auto will allow the BIOS to automatically
configure the parameters of the HDD installed at the connection. Enter a
number from 1 to 39 to select a predetermined HDD type. Select CDROM
if a CDROM drive is installed. Select ATAPI if a removable disk drive is
installed.
CHS Format
The following items will be displayed by the BIOS:
TYPE: This item displays the type of CPU.
Cylinders: This item indicates the status of Cylinders.
Headers: This item indicates the number of headers.
Sectors: This item displays the number of sectors.
Maximum Capacity: This item displays the maximum storage capacity
of the system.
LBA Format
The following items will be displayed by the BIOS:
Total Sectors: This item displays the number of total sectors available
in the LBA Format.
Maximum Capacity: This item displays the maximum capacity in the
LBA Format.
Multi-Sector Transfer
This item allows the user to specify the number of sectors per block to
be used in multi-sector transfer. The options are Disabled, 4 Sectors, 8
Sectors and 16 Sectors.
LBA Mode Control
This item determines whether Phoenix BIOS will access the IDE Channel 0
Master Device via the LBA mode. The options are Enabled and Disabled.
32 Bit I/O
This option allows the user to enable or disable the function of 32-bit
data transfer. The options are Enabled and Disabled.
