Power Supply
The 2029P-TXRT has two 1000W redundant power supplies. They operate with a 100V to
240V input voltage.
Power Supply Failure
If the power supply unit fails, the system will not shut down because of a redundant power
unit. Replacement units can be ordered directly from Supermicro. If there is only one power
supply unit in the chassis, power must be completely removed from the server before removing
and replacing the power supply unit.
Removing the Power Supply
1. Unplug the AC cord from the module you want to replace.
2. Push the release tab on the back of the power supply, as illustrated.
3. Pull the power supply out using the handle.
4. Pushing the new power supply module into the power bay unit until it clicks.
5. Plug the AC power cord back into the module.
Installing a New Power Supply
1. Replace the failed power supply with another identical power supply module (exact
same model).
2. Carefully insert the new module into position in the chassis and secure it with the two
screws you removed previously.
3. Reconnect the AC power cord.
4. Replace the chassis top cover and push the server back into the rack.
