Chapter 4: Motherboard Connections

Unit ID LED

A rear unit identifier (UID) indicator at LE6 is located near the UID switch on the I/O back
panel. It provides easy identification of a unit that may need service.

Onboard Power LED

The Onboard Power LED is LE3. When this LED is on, the system power is connected.

BMC Heartbeat LED

LEDM1 is the BMC heartbeat LED. When the LED is blinking green, BMC is functioning
normally.

M.2 Heartbeat LEDs

When LE4 and LE7 are blinking, M.2-P1 and M.2-P2, respectively, are functioning normally.

4.5 LED Indicators

Network LAN LEDs

The Ethernet ports each have two LEDs. One LED indicates activity when flashing green.
The other may be green, amber or off to indicate the speed of the connection.

BMC-Dedicated LAN LEDs

A dedicated BMC LAN port provided a connection to the BMC. The Link LED indicates the
speed of the connection. The other LED indicates activity.
