4.6 Storage Ports
I-SATA 3.0 and S-SATA 3.0 Connectors
The X12DGO-6 has eight I-SATA 3.0 ports (I-SATA0-3, I-SATA4-7). These SATA ports are
supported by the Intel® C621A chipset
M.2 Slot
The X12DGO-6 motherboard has two M.2 slots (JM2_1/JM2_2). M.2 was formerly known
as Next Generation Form Factor (NGFF) and serves to replace mini PCIe. M.2 allows for a
variety of card sizes, increased functionality, and spatial efficiency. The M.2 socket on the
motherboard supports PCIe 3.0 x4 (32 Gb/s) SSD cards in the 2280 and 22110 form factors.
