3.4 Chassis Components

Drive Bay Installation/Removal

The 1019D-FRN8TP supports up to two (2) 2.5" fixed hard disk drives. Only enterprise level
hard drives are recommended. The hard drives in your chassis may look slightly different
than the ones shown in this manual.

Installing Hard Disk Drives

1. Power down the system, remove the power cords from the rear of the power supply and

remove the chassis cover as described in Section 3.1.

2. Secure the drive(s) into the optional bracket as shown in Figure 3-3.

3. Secure the HDD drive tray to the chassis floor using a screw as shown in Figure 3-4 or

four screws as shown in Figure 3-5.

4. Connect the drive cabling, plug the power cords into the power supply, replace the

chassis cover and power-up the system.
