1-3 Components
The SC417 JBOD 4U high-performance chassis includes the following features:
Drives
The chassis supports seventy-two hot-swap 2.5" SAS or SATA hard disk drives
in bays on the front and rear of the chassis. The drives are supported by three
backplanes.
Power Supply
The chassis features two redundant digital power supplies, each 1200 Watts with
a
Titanium
level 80-Plus efficiency certification.
Cooling
The chassis includes seven 80 mm heavy-duty, hot-swap fans mid-chassis, powered
and controlled by IPMI using 4-pin connectors.
Control Board
The JBOD control board allows the user to remotely control and monitor the chassis
resources using IPMI, such as powering on or off, controlling fan speeds and reading
temperature data from the backplane.
Mounting Rails
Rack mount rails allow you to mount the chassis in a rack. The rails feature snap-in
installation and quick release, and support modern square hole racks. Round hole
rack are supported with a conversion kit.
