IMPORTANT:
If you are recessing the
fi
rebox
in a wall, do not attach trim at this time. See
Built-In Fireplace Installation

NOTE: These instructions show assembling
and attaching trim to fi replace.
1. Remove packaging from three pieces
of trim.
CHECK GAS TYPE
Use the correct type of gas (natural or propane/
LP). If your gas supply is not the correct gas
type, do not install appliance. Call dealer
where you purchased the appliance for proper
type appliance.
WARNING: This appliance is
equipped for natural or propane/
LP gas but not both. Gas type is
indicated on rating plate. Field
conversion is not permitted.
ELECTRICAL HOOKUP
This
fi
replace includes a blower which must
be connected to either a wall receptacle or
the electrical receptacle that is included within
the
fi
replace. If the receptacle included with
the
fi
replace is to be used, it must be wired
to a 120 volt supply by a certi
fi
ed electrician.
INSTALLING HOOD
Install hood to rail already installed in
fi
replace
as shown in
Figure 5
. Use 3 Phillips screws
provided.
2. Locate four screws, two adjusting plates
with set screws, and two shims in the
hardware packet.
3. Align shim under adjusting plate as shown
in
Figure 6
.
4. Slide one end of adjusting plate/shim
in slot on mitered edge of top trim
(see
Figure 6)
.
5. Slide other end of adjusting plate/shim
in slot on mitered edge of side trim
(see
Figure 6).
6. While firmly holding edges of trim to-
gether, tighten both set screws on the
adjusting plate with slotted screwdriver.
7. Repeat steps 1 through 6 for other side.
8. Tighten trim hanging screws (#10 x 6.25
shoulder) into holes in cabinets. Place
the assembled trim onto
fi
replace cabi-
net. Align hanging notches on trim with
hanging screws on side of
fi
replace
(see
Figure 7).
Push trim
fi
rmly into place, slid-
ing hanging notches over hanging screws.
