GB - SuperFish Koi Pro Module UVC 40 Watt / 80 Watt
The SuperFish Koi Pro Module is an immersion UVC that is easy to build in a pond
filter. The Amalgam UV lamp produces radiation with a wavelength of precisely
253,7 nm. It nearly kills all harmful bacteria, viruses and fungi and keeps algae
growth under control, for crystal clear pond water.
Caution: This UVC device emits UV-C radiation, which can cause serious eye damage or
damage to the skin. The UV lamp must therefore always be installed completely shielded from
the eyes. DO NOT use the UV lamp if it is not completely submerged. Switch off the UV lamp
by unplugging the ballast from the socket, with every maintenance of the pond, filter or UVC
unit.

Safety

This UVC device produces harmful radiation, direct contact may be dangerous for eyes and skin.
•
Never look at a burning UV lamp, switch of the power before any maintenance and when
opening the filter in which the UV lamp is installed.
• The device may only be connected to an electrical installation that meets the legal requirements.
A GFCI (30 mA) and earthed sockets are required. If in doubt always use a certified electrician to
install.
• Ensure voltage shown on the label match to the mains supply voltage.
• The Module UVC plug may only be connected to an earthed wall socket. Ensure that water cannot
reach the socket (D).
• The electronic ballast and the plug must be installed in a dry place, spatter-free and at least 2
meters away from the pond.
• Take great care using electricity in combination with water, do not operate with wet hands or plug
is wet. Never operate the filter if there are people in the water.
• In the event of damage to the unit, cord or plug, do not use the unit and return the unit to your
dealer for repair or recycling
• Do not use this unit if any parts are damaged, especially the quarts glass, buy new parts at your
dealer.
• Unplug or switch off all appliances in the pond before carrying out maintenance. Be aware that
the lamp can remain hot for up to 10 minutes after being disconnected.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instructions concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved. Children may not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision.
Installation requirements
• The installation depth is ± 35 cm for the 40 Watt and ± 66 cm for the 80 Watt version.
• The device can withstand a maximum pressure of 3 bar.
• The device is designed to operate with a water temperature between 0°C and 40°C. Outside these
temperatures the device must be completely disconnected from the water.
• Install the ballast (a) in a dry place so that the LED indicator is visible. The LED indicator indicates
the lifetime of the UV lamp. If the UV lamp no longer produces sufficient radiation, you must
replace the UV lamp.

• The device may only be connected if there is a sufficient flow of water and the UV lamp is
completely submerged.
