Preparing your wheelchair for use
Armrests
The armrests on both sides of the
wheelchair can be removed to allow
side transfer. Press the spring loaded
catch mounted on the side of the
armrest frame down tube (Fig.1) and
remove armrest as shown. When seated,
lower the armrest until it locks into the
retaining bracket. For full details see
pages 18 & 19.
WARNING
Keep your fingers and clothing etc
clear of the inside of the retaining
bracket until the armrest is locked in
place.

Control pod
The control pod is mounted on a sliding
mechanism, which enables the control
to be moved forward or backwards (Fig.
2). When the most comfortable position
has been selected, secure the slider by
tightening the locking Allen screw, using
an Allen key.
WARNING
Ensure the locking screw is fully
tightened prior to use and especially
when transporting your wheelchair.
The pod can also be swung away at right
angles to the armrest to allow the chair
to move close to tables.
