Batteries and charging
Batteries - single box
The single battery box is mounted
below the wheelchair seat (Fig. 36)
To remove the battery box
disconnect the power plug from
the control panel on the front of the
box lid. The lid contains the power
socket, a three pin charging socket
and two cutout switches of 15 and
70 amp.
To remove the battery box push the
basket forwards with the rear facing
handle, sufficiently to release the
retaining hooks. Lift the basket (to
clear the retaining hooks) and pull
it out so that the battery box can be
removed.
Disconnect the power plug from the
control box panel and remove the
battery box (Fig. 37).
To remove the basket completely
follow the above steps, but slide
the basket over the retaining bars
allowing the basket side channels
to clear the end of the support rails.
Lift and withdraw the basket.
To replace the battery box and/
or basket reverse the above
procedure.
