E. MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
With use, the filter and honeycomb pad will become clogged with dust,
which will greatly affect the unit’s performance. Sometimes mold and
mildew may also occur, due to lack of water changes. It is recommended
to clean the filter and honeycomb pad once every two weeks.
1. Turn unit off and disconnect power.
2. Remove the screw of the rear cover.
3. Remove filter and honeycomb pad.
4. Wash the filter in a mild detergent and warm water solution and rinse
with clean water.
5. Wash the honeycomb pad with clean water only. A soft brush can be
used for cleaning.
6. Replace the honeycomb pad, filter and screw to fix the position.
The water tank should be cleaned periodically:
1. With unit powered off and unplugged.
2. Remove screws of the filter net and take out the filter and
honeycomb pad.
3. Clean tank with brush or cloth.
4. There is a smaller water tank seated
inside this main tank (for the
humidifier).
Unplug the rubber plug to both tanks to
drain out dirty water.
Note: the water tank CANNOT be
removed (due to tube connections), the
image to the right is for reference of the
rubber plugs only.
5. Replace both rubber plugs, honeycomb pad and filter.
Before putting unit away for storage, please clean filter and honey comb
pad. Drain water from both the humidifier tank and the main water tank.
Allow to dry completely before replacing. Then run the unit in fan only
mode for 30 minutes to dry the inside. This will prevent mold and mildew
growth.
