4.1 SUNIX DevicePort Hardware Settings
SUNIX DevicePort
®
supports Ethernet hot-plug, system auto-detect, and port auto-mapping
features; user can expand RS-232 COM port conveniently.
(1) DevicePort®
Plug-n-Play Detection
After SUNIX DevicePort® drivers are installed; connecting RJ45 Ethernet cable between
SUNIX DevicePort
®
and PC host side. You will read “
DevicePort Online
” information
shows up on the windows desktop system tray.
Conversely, after removing Ethernet cable connection between SUNIX DevicePort
®
and PC,
you will read “
DevicePort Offline
” information shows up on the windows desktop system
tray.
Note: Be sure to keep DevicePort Control Center utility alive in your system, please do NOT
close, disable or remove it from windows startup process.
(2) DevicePort® Control Center
Access DevicePort® Control Center by double clicking

on the windows desktop
system tray.
You can discover DevicePort® connection status on DevicePort® Control Center utility.
