Keys and doors

The red mark on the lock lever appears
when the door is unlocked.

Pull the inside door handle to open an
unlocked door.

Always make sure that all doors and the
rear gate are closed before starting to
drive.

NOTE

If your vehicle is equipped with a
double locking system and it is acti-
vated, the door will not be unlocked
even when you move the door lock
lever forward.

Battery drainage prevention
function

If a door or the rear gate is not completely
closed, the dome light, map light, ignition
switch light and door open warning light on
the combination meter will remain illumi-
nated as a result. However these lights
are automatically turned off by the battery
drainage prevention function after 30
minutes of illumination to prevent the
battery from discharging. The opera-
tional/non-operational setting of this func-
tion can be changed by a SUBARU
dealer. We recommend that you contact
the nearest SUBARU dealer if you would
like to change the setting.

With a vehicle that has a double

locking system, turning the power door
locking switch to the unlocking posi-
tion has no effect when the double
locking system is activated.
