DANTE INTERCOM AUDIO ENGINE

System Menu

Serial Number:

 This is a display-only field that shows 

the Model 5422A’s hardware serial number. A 5-digit 

number, it is assigned at the factory and cannot be 

changed.

Version Information

Seven display-only fields show information about the 

firmware (embedded software) that is currently loaded 

and operating in this specific Model 5422A.

Main Firmware:

 Two display-only fields show the ver

-

sion number and release date of the Model 5422A’s 

Main firmware. This is the firmware that runs in the 

Model 5422A’s microcontroller (MCU) integrated cir-

cuit. This firmware can be updated using a USB flash 

drive. Details are provided in the Technical Notes 

section.

FPGA firmware:

 Two display-only fields show the 

version number and release date of the firmware used 

by the Model 5422A’s programmable logic (FPGA) 

device. This is the firmware that runs in the Model 

5422A’s high-speed logic device. This firmware can be 

updated using a USB flash drive. Details are provided 

in the Technical Notes section.

Dante Product:

 Two display-only fields show the 

product version number and date that’s contained in 

the Model 5422A’s Dante interface (Brooklyn module). 

These numbers and dates are assigned by Studio 

Technologies as an identifier when releasing a version 

of the Dante firmware. The firmware for the Model 

5422A’s Dante interface can be updated by way of an 

Ethernet connection using the Dante Updater software 

application that’s provided as part of the Dante Con-

troller software application.

Dante Firmware:

 This is a display-only field that shows 

the version number of the firmware associated with 

the Dante interface (Brooklyn module) that the Model 

5422A utilizes for Dante interconnectivity (there is no 

associated date). This version number is assigned by 

Audinate and can’t be changed by Studio Technol-

ogies, Inc. As noted previously, the firmware for the 

Model 5422A’s Dante interface can be updated by way 

of an Ethernet connection using the Dante Updater 

software application.
