1. Raise the foot end push handles before you operate the scale system option.
2. Press and hold Z Ze erro o until rre ell displays on the screen to zero the scale. 0 00 00 0..0 0 flashes and then stops flashing.
N No otte e -- The scale is not ready for use until the 0 00 00 0..0 0 stops flashing.
3. Place the patient on the product.
4. Press llb b//kkg g to select the unit of measure (lb or kg).
5. Press W We eiig gh h to obtain the patient’s weight.
N No otte e -- The patient’s weight displays for 40 seconds.

3. For scale without Chaperone, press and hold llb b//kkg g and Z Ze erro o until rre ell displays to select U Un niitt L Lo occ.
4. For scale with C Ch ha ap pe erro on ne e, press and hold llb b//kkg g and Z Ze erro o to select U Un niitt L Lo occ.
5. Press llb b//kkg g or Z Ze erro o to toggle to llb b, kkg g, or A An nyy.
6. Press and release llb b//kkg g and Z Ze erro o. O On nllyy and the selected unit of measure displays.
N No otte e -- O On nllyy will not appear if you select A An nyy.
7. Press and hold W We eiig gh h until q qu uiitt displays.
8. Press and hold Z Ze erro o until rre ell displays. 0 00 00 0..0 0 flashes and then stops flashing.

When armed, the C Ch ha ap pe erro on ne e option monitors the patient’s position on the product.
To arm and disarm the C Ch ha ap pe erro on ne e option:
1. With the patient on the product, press A Arrm m//D Diissa arrm m.
N No otte e -- This arms Zone 1. Zone 1 illuminates amber when applied.
2. To arm Zone 2, press A Arrm m//D Diissa arrm m twice within 3 seconds.
N No otte e -- This arms Zone 2. Zone 2 illuminates amber when applied.
3. To disarm the C Ch ha ap pe erro on ne e option, press and hold A Arrm m//D Diissa arrm m.
N No otte e -- You must zero the scale before you arm the C Ch ha ap pe erro on ne e option.
N No otte e -- If the patient moves outside of the limits of the selected zone, an amber light flashes, A Allrrtt flashes in the scale system
option display, and a sound alarm is triggered.

To change the C Ch ha ap pe erro on ne e option alert pattern:
1. Press and hold both A Arrm m//D Diissa arrm m and W We eiig gh h together for approximately 6 seconds. Ignore all display messages until
P Pttrrn n appears on the display ( Scale icon/button identification (page 29)).
2. Release the A Arrm m//D Diissa arrm m and W We eiig gh h buttons.
N No otte e -- The pattern setting P P ((1 1--1 10 0)) appears on the display.
3. Press A Arrm m//D Diissa arrm m or W We eiig gh h to scroll through the pattern options.
N No otte e -- A brief sample of the pattern plays as you scroll through the pattern options.
