MACHINE SAFETY EQUIPMENT
- This section describes the operation of the machine's safety functions and the precautions you should take
to ensure its safe operation.
- Improper maintenance of the machine can shorten its life and increase the risk of accidents.
- CAUTION!
Never use the machine with defective or missing safety equipment. The safety equipment of the
machine must be inspected and maintained as described in this section. If any part of the safety equipment
is damaged, have the machine repaired by an authorized service center.
ON / OFF SWITCH
- The ON / OFF switch is used to stop the engine. Start the engine and make sure the engine stops when you
move the switch to the stop position.
MUFFLER SILENCER
- The muffler silencer is designed to maintain minimum noise levels and to direct the exhaust gases away
from the user.
- Never use the machine with a damaged or missing muffler!
- Check regularly that the muffler is firmly attached to the engine.
- WARNING!
The muffler silencer contains chemicals that may have carcinogenic effects. If the muffler fails,
avoid contact with these substances.
-
WARNING!
Keep in mind that the engine exhaust is hot and may contain sparks that may cause a fire. Never
start the machine inside or near flammable material!
AUGER
- Check the auger bit. Never use a blunt, cracked or damaged auger bit.
- Make sure the auger bit is securely attached.
- The augers were sharpened in the production by an advanced method of grinding. In case of wear, replace
them with new ones.
USAGE
AUGER ASSEMBLY
- Make sure the ON / OFF switch is in the OFF position.
- Place the auger bit on the output shaft so that the holes for securing the locking pin are aligned.
- Insert the locking pin into the holes and secure with the split pins.
FUEL HANDLING
WARNING!
The petrol auger is powered by a two-stroke engine that needs a fuel mixture of gasoline and
engine oil for proper operation.
When mixing, it is important to maintain the correct mix ratio. Failure to add
the correct engine oil ratio to the gasoline can result in serious engine damage that is not covered by the
warranty.
- Only use unleaded petrol with a minimum octane rating of 95 (E 10).
- Petrol tends to form deposits in a container in which it is stored for more than 2 months.
Always use only
fresh petrol!
- Use only high quality engine oil designed for air-cooled two-stroke engines.
- DANGER!
Petrol and fuel mixture are flammable!
- Store petrol and fuel mixture in suitable containers, in a safe place, away from heat sources and open flames.
- Do not leave petrol or fuel containers within reach of children.
- Do not smoke and avoid inhalation of vapors during fuel preparation.
- Make sure there is adequate ventilation in the room where refueling or fuel preparation takes place.
