MIDI
Musical Instrument Digital Interface is the standard
communications protocol that allows a musical instrument to
send a signal to the 200 console to trigger cues and effects.
Connect the MIDI generator via a DIN cable to the MIDI IN
input at the back of the console.
Note: MIDI thru allows MIDI commands that are not related to the 200 console to pass through the
console and on to other devices. Connect all MIDI devices accordingly.
Follow these steps to setup the MIDI properly.
Press F3 to go into the
Setup
menu.
Notice the cursor flashing over the 1 for patch.
Press the right arrow key to access MIDI then press
F3 to
Confirm.
Notice the cursor flashing over the 1 for channel.
To assign a MIDI channel press F3 to
Confirm.
Enter the MIDI setup and turn MIDI on. Then assign a channel number from the MIDI
generator that will control this 200 console. There are a total of 16 channels (1 –16).
Num lock LED will now be on and any effect(s)
disabled. Notice the cursor flashing over the OFF.
+/– will turn MIDI on. The right arrow key will move
to channel. +/– will allow the selection of the
channel or enter the channel using the numeric
keypad. The options are channels 1 through 16.
Press
Confirm
when done.
