Using your Stralus Care Bed

WARNING - RISK OF ENTRAPMENT:
To minimise chance injury or entrapment, please
complete the following checks before operating bed.
WARNING - RISK OF ENTRAPMENT:
Resident may become entrapped as they move on
the mattress surface. Ensure no accessory which may
constitute a risk is left on the bed and that the resident
is monitored regularly.
3.2 Everyday Use
Pre-Use Checklist
Check brakes are engaged, and the bed
is stable
Check that entrapment zones specific to
function are clear of any people, limbs, animals
and/or objects. Refer to warnings on the
following pages
Check that the Safe Working Load is not
exceeded by resident, mattress and accessories.
Check resident is positioned correctly
All parts of resident’s body are to be within
the bounds of the mattress
Resident’s head is at head end
Resident is lying on centreline of the mattress
Resident is lying face up
