and their functions:
On/Off
On/off key for the transceiver.
Press for three seconds for a total reset of the software. Then turn set on again.
Speaker
On/off key for the audio amplifier
Volume down
In
usual mode
to decrease the audio. With ‘beep’. With designated minimum level.
In
scan mode
to go down by the channels or the frequency.
In the
Selective Call
mode to navigate between the messages.
Volume up
In
usual mode
increase the audio. With ‘beep’.
In
hand-scan mode
to go up by the channels or the frequency.
In the
Selective Call
mode to navigate between the messages.

Scan sub-mode allows to scan the channels or the frequency by hand or in automatic
mode.

to start/stop scan (scan indicator will start flashing).

After entering 2 figures for the channel number the set will switch to that channel.

Clearing key basically. Functions:
Disable/enable squelch (will be reset at scanning).
Backspace in editing and during inserting frequencies.

Will reset current channel to the ROM settings (clearing current channel in RAM
memory).
Mode Selector

Press
simultaneously
to reset all channels in the current memory bank to the ROM
settings (clearing the memory bank in RAM). Be aware: NO WARNING.

Frequency insert mode. Press
Queue
and enter the frequency from numeric keypad. Use
CL
to backspace at insertion. Attention: a frequency has 5 digits; the 6
th
digit will always
be a 0 or a 5 and is skipped. The frequency is automatically stored in the current channel.
All inserted frequencies are checked to frequency range and channel step (12.5 KHz for
all radios).
Therefore:
a frequency (when manually entered) has 5 digits; the 6
th
digit on the display
will always be a 0 or a 5 and is automatically skipped.
