Charging the battery with the charger/power supply
It is not necessary to discharge the battery pack completely before recharging.
The lithium-ion battery can be charged at any time and will not develop a
"memory effect" if it is recharged after a partial discharge.
Remove the battery pack from the HotKnife 36 V at an appropriate time.
Fully charge the battery prior to extended operations. Due to Lithium-Ion fade-
free properties, the only time it is necessary to charge the Lithium-Ion battery
pack is when the pack has reached the end of its charge. A very low charge
state is indicated by a sudden temperature/performance drop.
1.
Connect the rechargeable battery to the supplied charger/power sup-
ply. Plug the small connector into the intended socket on the top side
of the rechargeable battery.
2.
When the battery is empty, the charger status LED shows: RED.
3.
Once the battery is fully charged, the charger status LED lights up:
GREEN.
4.
An empty battery typically needs approx. 60 minutes for a 100% char-
ge.
Warning:
Only use the supplied charger indoors! Protect against moisture. Failure to
observe can cause serious health damage.
