Cooking on the gas cooktop
• Use an appropriately sized pan for each burner (Table 1).

Flame failure feature
• This gas cooktop has a flame failure safety device, which cuts off the gas
supply to the burner if the flame is blown out. To ensure the flame stays
lit, you must hold down the control knob for approximately 10 seconds
before releasing it.
• Gas cooktops with a flame failure safety advice have ignition plugs
(ignitors) and flame failure probes (thermocouples), which need to be kept
clean for proper operation (cleaning instructions follow on page 23).
