Controls

Check the parking brake for

proper operation

–

Drive the lift truck with the maximum load

onto a 15 % slope.

–

Apply the parking brake. The truck should

not move.

–

Release the parking brake.

–

Stop the engine. The lift truck should not

move.

NOTE

If the parking brake is not operating correctly,

contact your service partner.

Brake control mechanism

NOTE

These checks must take place every service

interval, PLUS after any component replace-

ment, PLUS after any adjustment.

–

Check the operation and adjustment of

brake pedals.

NOTE

Ensure brake pedal movement is not obstruc-

ted.

–

Adjust the brake pedal stops, to allow cor-

rect operation.

–

Start the engine and test the handbrake,

switch off the engine.

–

Start the engine, test the foot brake, switch

off the engine

NOTE

Specialist knowledge is required to carry out
